A Kali-Lu Reflection of 2025
As we approach the close of 2025, we’ve found ourselves looking back with gratitude for the many moments that shaped this year. From the homes we transformed to the relationships we strengthened, this season feels like the perfect time to pause and reflect on all the beauty, creativity, and collaboration that filled the past twelve months.

This year brought some of our favorite projects to life — spaces filled with personality, warmth, and intentionality. Each project reminded us why we love what we do: the process of listening closely, designing thoughtfully, and crafting homes that feel deeply personal to the people who live in them.
Designing with Heart
2025 has been a year full of creativity, connection, and a whole lot of fun! From behind-the-scenes moments on our projects to exciting adventures in the community, it’s been a joy to see our work come to life and to share so many smiles along the way.
Being active with the Cherry Creek Chamber of Commerce gave us even more opportunities to connect with inspiring local businesses and amazing people in our community. From lively networking events to collaborative gatherings, we loved celebrating milestones, swapping ideas, and building relationships that go far beyond design.
Of course, some of our favorite moments happened right on our projects brainstorming with clients, laughing through design challenges, and celebrating the little victories that make a house truly feel like a home. Every smile, every shared idea, and every thoughtful detail reminds us why we do what we do: designing spaces with heart, personality, and intention.
Looking back on the year, we feel so grateful for all the incredible connections we’ve made in the industry, in the community, and with the wonderful families who trusted us to bring their visions to life. These snapshots are just a small glimpse of a year that was full of laughter, inspiration, and heart.
Our 2025 Projects
We’re celebrating a year defined by meaningful transformations, inspired clients, and projects that pushed our design vision forward. Throughout 2025, we refined our processes, expanded our construction capabilities, deepened our relationships with trades and vendors, and continued developing an approach to design that feels more intentional, more personal, and more aligned with the way people truly live. Most importantly, we had the privilege of working with clients who trusted us to reimagine the spaces where they cook, gather, unwind, and make memories.
To kickstart our reflection on an incredible year of projects, we’re looking back at the space that became the foundation of our “6 Design Secrets” for Kitchen Remodels. The Hilltop Residence kitchen remodel was a complete transformation of a dated, closed-off space into a warm, open, and highly functional hub for everyday living. Working closely with our construction team, we reimagined the layout by removing a full wall to improve flow and connection to the rest of the home. Custom white oak cabinetry was taken to the ceiling to add height and maximize storage, while a quartz countertop carried seamlessly up the backsplash created a bright, cohesive look. Smart storage solutions—including pull-outs, an appliance garage, and clever corner systems—kept the smaller kitchen feeling open and organized without sacrificing utility. Thoughtfully increased spacing between counters and upper cabinets, layered lighting, and carefully selected hardware and finishes reinforced the project’s calm, earthy palette and elevated aesthetic. The result? A kitchen that feels timeless, intentional, and tailored to the way the homeowners cook, gather, and live.
Hilltop Kitchen Remodel
While the Hilltop Residence remodel showcased the transformative power of a full-scale renovation, not every project requires extensive construction to make a big impact. Sometimes, thoughtful updates, strategic design choices, and a curated refresh are all it takes to breathe new life into a home. Our next project demonstrates exactly that—a multi-level family home that received a careful, high-impact refresh focused on the spaces and details that would make the biggest difference for daily living and visual appeal.
Parkhill Residence Refresh
This multi-level family home refresh focused on creating high-impact updates across the main living spaces while honoring the home’s existing beauty. On the main level, the living room fireplace had lost its spark, so we gave it a bold new life with triangular teal tile and carried the color into the adjoining bookcases, creating a striking, cohesive focal point. The transformation involved removing the old tile, prepping the surface, and installing the new tile facade and rectangular hearth tile. This quick change instantly created lasting visual impact.
Beyond the fireplace, we curated abstract, sophisticated art and decor throughout the home, updated select furniture pieces, and gave the mudroom a bold, energizing color drench. The laundry room walls were adorned with playful, vibrant wallpaper, and the primary suite received a thoughtful refresh with new lighting, bedding, artwork, and an area rug. The result is a home that feels renewed, functional for a growing family, and perfectly aligned with the homeowners’ vision. This project proves that even without a full renovation, carefully considered design updates can make a dramatic difference in both style and livability.
Bonnie Brea Residence
After celebrating the impact of thoughtful updates in the last family home refresh, we turn to a project where light, space, and architectural detail take center stage. This next project demonstrates how a carefully reimagined living room can blend contemporary elegance with natural warmth, creating a space that feels both sophisticated and inviting. By emphasizing natural light, custom built-ins, and clean lines, we were able to craft a modern environment that’s as comfortable as it is striking.

Custom built-ins add both functionality and visual interest, while clean architectural lines enhance the sense of openness and sophistication. Every detail, from the materials to the layout, was thoughtfully considered to ensure the space feels comfortable and livable without compromising on style. The result is a living room that is both inviting and refined—a modern retreat designed for everyday life and effortless entertaining.
Next, we move from a single living room refresh to a full-scale transformation that brought a home firmly into the 21st century. This project took a space with strong 90s character and reimagined the kitchen, living room, and office/playroom with modern sensibility, seamless flow, and thoughtful functionality. It’s a perfect example of how cohesive design updates across multiple areas can completely elevate a home, blending style, practicality, and personality in every corner.
Highlands Ranch Rework
This full-home transformation took a space with distinct 90s vibes and reimagined it for modern living, creating a cohesive, stylish, and highly functional environment. The redesign spans the kitchen, living room, and office/playroom, blending clean lines, soft neutral tones, and custom built-ins to create a seamless flow throughout. In the kitchen, sleek cabinetry, a herringbone tile backsplash, and warm wood accents strike the perfect balance of contemporary refinement and natural texture. Smart storage solutions throughout the home add order and ease to daily life, while playful wallpaper, statement archways, and curated details introduce subtle personality and drama.
The result is a home that feels fresh, inviting, and entirely tailored to the way its owners live. This project demonstrates how thoughtful design, functional solutions, and cohesive aesthetics can transform a dated space into a modern, livable, and stylish home.
After transforming a home with modern updates and cohesive design, we turn our attention to a project that demonstrates the power of reimagining often-overlooked spaces. In the East Wash Park basement renovation, we took a dark, outdated lower level and turned it into a bright, functional, and welcoming area that serves the whole family. This project shows that thoughtful design can make even a basement feel stylish, purposeful, and perfectly tailored to the way a family lives.
East Wash Park Basement Renovation
The Wash Park basement renovation was a complete transformation, turning a dark, outdated lower level into a bright, functional, and welcoming space for the residents and their children's growing family. The project began with a full demolition and asbestos removal, followed by refinishing all flooring and walls to create a clean, modern foundation. To brighten the previously dark basement, we redesigned the lighting throughout, installed new windows, and added an egress window in the back bedroom to bring the space up to code.
The laundry room received a major refresh, featuring a custom closet setup, built-in shelving around the washer and dryer, and playful patterned tile that contrasts beautifully with durable LVP flooring throughout the rest of the basement. A subtle pop of color with a dusted mauve ceiling unifies the spaces while adding warmth and personality. Old hallway cabinetry was refaced with new doors and fun hardware, elevating both style and function.
In the back bedroom, we opened up the layout to create a comfortable and versatile space for the clients’ daughter and visiting granddaughter. The result is a basement that feels modern, cohesive, and designed to meet the practical and lifestyle needs of the family—proof that even lower levels can become bright, inviting, and highly functional spaces with thoughtful design.
